Greatest Game Ever?
While the Warriors upset of the Mavericks in game 6 to become the first 8 seed to ever upset a number 1 seed in a seven game series. I am not willing to call it the greatest NBA playoff game, or even the greatest upset in the NBA playoffs. I know this may seem as a homer pick but Michael Jordan scoring 38 points while playing the ENTIRE game in game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz. The Bulls were considered underdogs in that series, although they had clinched home-court advantage. The series was tied 2-2, the game was in Utah, oh...Michael Jordan was also suffering from the flu. No one expected Michael Jordan to play. Apparently the Utah Jazz forgot about him as well. That game will go down in my mind as the greatest game ever because of the psychological advantage, as well as a 3-2 series lead to win their 5th NBA championship. Don't get me wrong, what the Warriors did was amazing, probably a greater feat than people are going to give credit for. The Mavs won 67 games this year and looked ready to take the crown that they felt they deserved last season. The warriors win proves that the playoffs are truly the 2nd season.
